Bikini season is around the corner and orange theory is helping me keep my body in tip top shape! The Oakley location has heart rate monitored classes that change every day, to avoid repetitive workouts and plateauing. Take it from someone who works out 5 days a week, these classes are sure to whoop your butt! The studio movements typically go from rowing, treadmills, and weight room, and are an hour long. The professional trainers offer alternative exercises for participants that may not be able to do the initial routine. When I arrived, the staff greeted me with my heart monitor band. The heart rate monitors show your heart rate on a 5 level scale in real time on the monitors in the studio, making it more convenient for me to see if I needed to work harder or back off a bit to get the best workout. This is a full body workout and Is truly addicting! Each class focuses on power, endurance, and strength. You can schedule your classes online, and the first class is always free! Head over to the Oakley location to try out OTF, you won't be disappointed.
Hello loves! I've never been more in love with a fitted dress, and just had to share this one with all of you. After a few co-workers convinced me to pull the trigger, I purchased this fitted tank dress. It has without a doubt become my favorite spring go-to piece. The cut Is so flattering, the fabric is so soft, and best of all, you can pair it with trendy sneakers for a laid back look. Above, body con dress from Nordstrom, my current spring obsession. What's yours?
I recently teamed up with Bony Levy, and Nordstrom to let you guys in on some brand details. Whether you're all about the bling, or subtle gold accents are more your speed, there's a perfect Bony Levy piece for every woman.
I sat down with a brand rep. from the Los Angeles office to discuss design and detail. After studying the diamonds myself under a lupe, the quality and craftsmanship behind each piece speaks for itself.
Although Bony pieces hover around a more elevated price point, they are comparable to David Yurman, and make excellent gifts. Almost all pieces can be customized by gemstone and engraved.
I know fine jewelry can be a bit intimidating to shop for, but Bony Levy is a Nordstrom exclusive brand. This eliminates a significant amount of stress from the shopping process. Expedited and rush orders are available upon request, and sizing, exchanges, and polishing are done quickly and efficiently.
Each line is timeless with a modern twist. All swoon worthy, nonetheless. If you have a chance to visit your local Nordstrom, stop in and scope out Bony Levy!
To make this week's gift guide a tad bit personal, I'm letting you guys in on what I got for my man, and why. In life, timing is everything. This couldn't be more true for Zakk and I, and our relationship.
Zakk and I met summer of '16 at a going away party for our mutual friend, Dan. I walked over to the keg to pour myself a beer, and Zakk offered to lend me a hand. The hallway was dark and I couldn't see him very well with the lights behind him. He turned and said, "Hey wait, I know you!" To myself I thought, who is this guy, maybe he's just drunk. So, I insisted, "I've never met you, sorry." To be honest, I was cold. I knew of him, and figured he was cocky and thought he was being sly. We made small talk throughout the night and I gave him my number, but didn't expect much out of it.
The next day, he texted me and I continued with my cold, standoffish responses. I was getting ready to head to Vegas for vacation, and our friend Dan coincidentally happened to be there as well for his new job. Zakk continued to text and Snapchat me throughout that week, as I spent my days poolside drinking with MMA fighters, NBA players, and my close friends. Cincinnati, and the people back home were the last thing on my mind.
Before heading back home, Dan said to me "Watch, you and Zakk will end up together." To this, my quick response, "mark my words, there's no way." Although, looking back, conversation with Zakk was flowing, even through text and I eased up on the cold shoulder treatment I'd been giving him all week.
Once I was home, Zakk invited me to a concert. I figured I had nothing better to do, so I went. We ended up having such an enjoyable night and I was so pleasantly surprised by his overall demeanor. I realized how kind, caring, thoughtful, and generous he truly is, all characteristics I hadn't even considered a week earlier.
We continued to hangout, and he would bring me tea every time he'd visit me at work, or bagels from my favorite place. Timing really was everything for us.
His dad had been ill for about 6 months, and things were getting pretty touch and go. Our relationship was moving quickly emotionally with everything going on. I spent my lunch breaks with Zakk and his family, and nights snuggled on the hospital floor. I had seen the most vulnerable side of him, and it only made my feelings for him grow stronger. Most people in this situation would politely run, but like I said, this only made me want to keep him close.
I knew I loved him then. We had seen each other with messy hair, morning breath, and eye boogers. We shed tears, then ate our feelings at Penn Station. He was so genuine with me, and I valued and respected his ability to be so candid.
Now, more than 6 months later, he and I live happily with our fur baby, and I couldn't be more thankful for his persistence when we first met. I can confidently say I love him so very much and I wouldn't change a thing looking back.
This Valentine's Day, I knew I had to get Zakk something as genuine and unique as he is. Symbolically, I chose JORD wood watches. Their time pieces are so creatively designed, and because time has played such a significant role in our relationship, what better than a beautiful wood watch.

Hey guys! I've fallen back a little due to a broken laptop. Meanwhile I've been focusing on modeling. I started modeling 9 years ago with a local agency and continued to freelance through college once my contract was up. Modeling allows me to experience a different side of the fashion industry, which is why I am so passionate about it. I'm currently looking to sign a new contract. In other news, I've also always been passionate about living a happy healthy lifestyle. Some live in the gym, meal prep, and count their macros. Although I don't meticulously monitor my days, change has been such a positive thing for me. Cooking most meals myself, hitting the gym at least 5 days a week, and getting a good nights sleep works wonders. I find that so many women are either intimidated by the gym because they don't know where to start, or they fear ending up with a bulky more masculine frame. Both completely understandable. However, I've found that I absolutely love my body as a result of lifting weights. I love my muscles. I may not wake up every morning with perfect abs or a perfectly round butt, and that's ok. Bodies aren't perfect, and they're constantly working to be the best they can be, even while we sleep. That's why growing stronger and healthier empowers me. I have more energy throughout the day, and when you look good, you feel good. So, above, I'm jumping the gun a little on Spring, but I am SO ready for it. Wearing bodysuit and pumps from Forever21, and pants from Target. Here's to healthy living, progress, and lil' baby muscles.
Alright guys, I know, It's been a while. As always, blogging for me is something I do for fun. Between extended holiday hours at work, and having my sister in town, a little break from social media was just what I needed. The holidays are such a special time of year, and although some of you may be struggling with things at this time, there's positive aspects in every situation. I feel so blessed to have celebrated my first Christmas this year with my boyfriend and his family. They are such kind, loving people, and I am so thankful to be included in so many wonderful experiences with them. When I first met Zakk, he mentioned to me how important the little things are in life. At the time, I remember thinking, "Is this guy reading my mind?" The little things are what keep us young. They make relationships last, friendships stronger, and even the youngest learn to appreciate everything. He has absolutely taught me to see the good in every situation. For example, today, I open up my computer to blog, and half of my laptop screen is shattered. Somehow he always knows what to say, even when things seem the absolute worst. Again, it's the little things. The positive reinforcement, and sweet surprises. The monday before Christmas, Zakk told me to get dressed up, he had a surprise planned. We had a nice dinner out, and exchanged gifts. The amount of effort and thought that went into such a special evening for the two of us didnt go unnoticed. It's his attention to detail that makes me fall for him all over again, every single day. No, the little things do not solely pertain to relationships. With the New Year swiftly approaching, I hope that all of you will focus on love. Loving yourself, and others. Think twice before you act and speak. Learn to see the good in everything. If you aren't happy with something, change it. I am heading to Miami this week, and I can't wait to share some warmer outfits with you all. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy New Year, filled with positivity and love. Above, wearing Adidas bomber jaket, tank dress from Nordstrom Rack, and Stuart Weitzman boots.
I could begin a lengthy list of all the people and things I'm thankful for. Luckily, last week I was surrounded by some of my favorites. Curiosity ensues when I think about Thanksgiving each year. How do you dress your best, but stay comfortable for the day-long feasting and festivities? Having three houses to visit this year, I had my work cut out for me. I've been gravitating toward flannels and light sweaters because you can style them accordingly, and they aren't too form fitting. Everyone's family is different, some have dressy holiday gatherings, others, super casual. For friendsgiving, I chose a Ralph Lauren festive flannel, Forever21 distressed boyfriend jeans, and Topshop patent leather booties (pictured above). Sometimes less is more. With this outfit I was casual and comfortable throughout the evening, but right on trend for Fall/Winter. Above, Zakk is wearing a colorful flannel from Nordstrom, and Zara distressed denim. Thankful for him, and the relaxing weekend we had with our families. Another holiday down, and on to the next! I've never been a fan of the Winter months, or weather. However, there's no denying the collective spark this time of year. Maybe the anticipation of the holidays, adrenaline fueled shopping, decorative lights, who knows, but whatever it is, I'm feelin' it!
Sweet little PSA by yours truly. In a world of so much chaos, at the end of the day, who do you have? YOU. Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can wear, however, sometimes this is easier said than done. Disregard the news, and politics, election, etc. Loving yourself is SO important. Look at the big picture, if everyone loved themselves, think of how easy it would be to love everyone else. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and contrary to common belief, it isn't only skin deep. Being pretty isn't everything. I wish we could instead all be pretty kind, pretty happy, and pretty healthy. In this currently crazy world, take a step back, find what you love about yourself, and own it, because at the end of the day, you have you, and you're pretty damn great. Above, wearing American Apparel body suit, WAYF harem pants, Sole Society pumps, and Forever 21 coat.
Growth is a beautiful thing. Being a part of the Cincinnati blogging scene, has been so rewarding. That being said, I'm hoping to build a stronger sense of community among fellow fashion bloggers. With previous events like Connect Cincy, and more meets in the works, I am so excited to start joining forces. I think it's safe to say for some of us there's a defensive side of blogging, because it can be a very competitive realm. Having only blogged for a year, I can say there are times where it has been more competitive for me, especially when trying to find my focus and general aesthetic via social media. As the old saying goes, "If you can't beat em, join em." Truth be told, one's strength may be an others' weakness, but all the more reason to help each other. Feeling so inspired this week, and ready for some new collabs. Starting the week off with this sweet outfit for date night. Abercrombie & Fitch denim romper, Express tea length skirt, Valentino rockstud heel, and Aldo clutch. When November delivers 70 degree weather, I'll dust off the brighter colors in my closet. Wishing you all a relaxing week.
A year ago I started Suede. Blogging was something I wanted to do for multiple reasons, but here's the truth. 1 year ago I was so lost in toxicity that I needed to find a way out. I knew myself better than anyone, and I missed the outgoing, silly, and social person I was. Fashion was, and still continues to be my outlet each and every day. "We accept the love we feel we deserve." I settled. And everyone around me knew it. At the time I was in so deep that I depended on someone else for my happiness, which that alone was a red flag. Writing and shooting revived two of my passions, modeling and styling. In turn, I began to regain my confidence and an overall sense of independence. Over the past few days I've reminisced, and I've prioritized. Starting Suede was one of the best things I've done for myself. It allowed me to be true and authentic. Not only did blogging allow me to find myself, but it showed me who truly was on my team. I've learned to never settle, the second you lower your standards, that's exactly the company you'll keep. Also, you can't win everyone over. The little things are everything. Sometimes, the people you hope will support you most are the ones quick to judge. In a world of chaos, kill them with kindness. One year later, I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such loving friends and healthy relationships. Thank you to everyone who's been on my team, your support is so appreciated. Here's to another year of Suede, positivity, and being a boss ass bitch.
Here's a sweet little post totally dedicated to you, my lovely readers. Through blogging, I've collaborated and been in contact with numerous brands. The one I'm sharing with you this week is for the people, by the people. It's as simple as that. To begin, all of the garments are hand sewn, stitched, and designed by multiple artists. How often do we think about intimate and personal factors like these when we shop? In my opinion, not enough. The simplistic style that consistently flows within their company is something that really pushed me to collaborate with them. The People Clothing Co. is for the adventurers, those who wander, but aren't lost. This brand embodies the idea of less is more, but caters to everyone. The entire company was created from two driving forces, creativity, and community, both such important qualities in fashion and blogging. For my fellow bloggers, I think we can all appreciate a clean instagram feed. What I love about TPC is that their feed is so vibrant and creative. Being a smaller but quickly growing company, the brand also has an incredible team that is easy to contact if need be! Their newest line, patch series, is right on trend with a simple hat and crew neck pull over. Paired perfectly with ripped jeans or joggers. In addition, TPC offers hats, tees, and a skateboarding line soon to come. Featured above are hand sketched and sewn designs on the pocket Tee and Dad Hat. I hate to admit Fall snuck up on us overnight. It seems like just yesterday I was melting in 90 degree heat with the oh so predictable Ohio humidity. And to top it all off, work went ahead and nixed the open toed shoes for the season. Its official. Fall. Hopefully you all share in my excitement over this season's colors. Shades of forest and olive greens being my favorite, with burnt orange and burgundy, a tie for close second. The outfit above was inspired by the Yeezy collections. I was lucky enough to find a distressed oversized sweater at Forever 21 in men's, and these swoon worthy emerald green sunnies by Marc Jacobs at Nordstrom. Paired with the Stuart Weitzman highland, and a pair of jean shorts, this has easily become one of my go-to's for this season. Here's to a great week and all the fall feels.
Sincerest apologies, I am working on giving Suede a whole new look. Something a little bit easier for you all to navigate. Also including my portfolio on here as well. This was all inspired by my recent trip to Nevada. Shot some American Apparel in the desert with my dear friend, and photographer, Dan Battista. American Apparel is all about expressing and embracing your natural self, and exuding confidence. So, here's to a new look, and radiating confidence, even in 108 degrees. Photographed in American Apparel bodysuit, and American Eagle denim shorts.
Let's talk street style. I've been waiting for fashion to take street style to the next level, mixing feminine and sporty pieces to complete a look. Joggers made a huge impact, worn with sneakers, heels, or flats they've proven to be very versatile. I was majorly inspired this week by UNheardof in Downtown Cincinnati. The entire store dons this edgy, cool, style, with garments in prints you wouldn't believe. I had the opportunity to collaborate with the brand to show you some seasonal street style. With the Wimbledon in full force, we pulled from Nike Court and finished off the look with a summery Christian Louboutin pump. The tennis dress above is aesthetically chic and clean, fanning and pleats add a feminine touch, and the mock turtle neck is right on trend. My favorite thing about this dress is that it so easily goes from day to night. Day, worn with sneakers, Night, worn with a simple or edgy pump. The Nike Court Women's Premier Tennis Dress, as seen on Serena Williams, comes in black and white and is $200, available at UNheardof. Special thanks to @joe_binford for photography, and the crew @unheardofbrand for styling. Hope I'm not the only one channeling my inner Venus and Serena this summer, too many sleek styles from Nike not to! Wishing you all a sweet safe weekend.
I'd never pass up the opportunity to shoot with my sister. I consider myself lucky to see her once a year, if that. Most people know, the bond between sisters is practically unbreakable. That being said, are there times I want to break her face? You better believe it. However, I'll come back later with hugs and giggles, and we bounce right back. I love her, of course. She is my sister, therefore one half of me. She has inspired me so much, especially with style. Free spirited, some may call her a hippie, Noa has a very boho chic style. Maxi dresses, skirts, crop tops. I was fortunate enough to soak up a month of quality time with her, which I won't even begin to try to express just how happy that made me. Bliss. The only word I could really use, and even that doesn't do it justice. Above, wearing Angie Brand maxi dress. I've always appreciated having a smaller circle, friends and family. I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies. You have one family, keep them close, hug them often, and overuse I love you. You'll never regret it.
I've always said that each year goes by faster than the one before. It couldn't be more true, the older I get. 21 has been an incredible year. I've traveled so much, made lifelong friends, and learned more about myself than I thought possible. I could sit and write a sappy, and cliche post, but I'd rather embrace what's to come. A thank you will suffice. Thank you. To those who supported me in starting Suede, and continue to do so. To those who doubted me, it gave me the extra push to succeed. To those who collaborated, inspired, and assisted me in doing what I love. Your contributions whether big or small mean the world to me. I hope to continue growing and working with local, national, and international brands and bloggers. As I've said in the past, I started Suede because it's what I love. I never expected things to grow as much as they have since October, but I couldn't be more thrilled. Cheers to 22, and many more projects to come. Above, wearing daisy maxi dress from Francesca's.
Birthday and family festivities have wrapped up, but I had to share this Alice & Olivia look with you guys. One of my favorite brands, Alice and Olivia, is chic, edgy, and always on trend. Although sometimes on the pricey side, it is almost a guarantee you'll find the perfect piece for whatever occasion you're shopping for. In this case, the dress above was perfect for my birthday, or summer night out. This body-con midi dress serves up just the right amount of edge while keeping it classy. Cut out sides and narrow cut bust allow just the right amount of side boob. I love when an LBD takes the next level. Aside from this bold number, Alice & Olivia has been at the top of my list for summer wedding attire. Check out the brand online and at Nordstrom, you won't be disappointed. Also, huge thanks to local photographer, Dan Battista, for capturing the look.
